The new regulations to travel to Cuba issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and which entered into force on June 5, 2019, have caused confusion and concern to those who planned to visit the island and also to those who had already done so and of course they wanted to do it again to continue discovering their charms and the magic of looking trapped in time with their stories, architecture, culture and traditions.
With regard to the legality of traveling to Cuba from the United States, there were actually two changes in general:
– First, it is no longer possible to use the general license called “people to people exchange”
– Second, it is no longer possible to travel on boats such as cruises, yachts, private planes and jets.
