Cataloged as a National Monument since 1989, the Botanical Garden of Cienfuegos, the oldest in Cuba, invariably catches with its beautiful rarities and amazes those who choose it as a tourist destination. As a result, it annually receives more than 55,000 foreign visitors and is the preferred among the botanical gardens of Cuba.

The city of Cienfuegos completed its first 200 years of existence on April 22 with the particularity of being one of the most visited Cuban cities for its architectural attractions, its rich nature and the warmth of its inhabitants. It is known as the Pearl of the South and is the birthplace of one of the icons of Cuban music; Benny Moré.
