The fifth edition of the Mozart-Havana Festival will take place from October 25 to November 2 of this year and will have a formidable program with premieres of works and soloist guests such as the Dutch cellist Ella van Poucke and the violinist, musicologist and director by German orchestra Thomas Hengelbrock, in addition to notable symphonic and chamber groups from Cuba.
One of the main attractions of this edition will be the inclusion of an opera in the event program. This is “La clemencia de Tito”, by the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, under the direction of the Carlos DÃaz National Theater Award, who will impose his particular style on the piece. The GarcÃa Lorca room, of the Great Theater of Havana Alicia Alonso, will host this unique presentation on October 25, and will replace it on 26 and 27.
